VIOLIN/VIOLA Lessons-All Levels, All Styles

I hold a bachelor degree from Indiana University and will soon have my Masters in Violin Performance from the University of TN School of Music. I was a full scholarship student of Mark Zelmanovich, former member of the world famous Israeli Philharmonic.

Other classical greats I have studied with or worked for include Zubin Mehta (3 Tenors Concert), Kurt Mazur (former NY Philharmonic Director), and Yuval Yaron, Henryk Kowalski, and Steven Boe. I have also studied with jazz greats David Baker, Jerry and Patty Coker, and Rusty Holloway. Moreover, I have studied or worked with folk and country greats such as Charlie Acuff and Mark O'Connor and with hip-hop greats 7 Aurelius and Red Spyda.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience. My prize-winning students have concretized internationally and have appeared in feature movies!! ! I work well with all ages and levels and can teach just about any style.

I have extensive experience in most genres of music. I have performed or recorded for and with artists such as Ja Rule, Olivia Newton Jon, Phase 9, and Bobbie Eakes.

Music education draws upon Suzuki, American, Russian, Contemporary schools.

• Classical, Jazz, Klezmer, Blues, Rock, Hip-Hop, Folk, Bluegrass/Country, etc.  
• Technical development based on study of movement and techniques including Alexander technique, Feldenkrais technique, Physiology and Physics.
  
• Theory/ear-training, as needed to play and understand music being played.
• Improvisational skills also taught
